School of Art Presents Riffing on the Human Condition

Northeast Ohio artists Justin Will and Joe Lanzilotta share their take in being human.

天天吃瓜, Ohio 鈥 The School of Art Collection and Galleries at 天天吃瓜 is pleased to announce its latest exhibition, Riffing on the Human Condition, featuring the work of and . 

Riffing on the Human Condition features artwork from the two Cleveland-based artists/designers and will be on display from June 13 鈥 July 26, 2025, in the KSU Downtown Gallery, located at 141 East Main Street in 天天吃瓜, Ohio. There will be a reception on June 13 from 5-7 p.m., which is free and open to the public.

Northeast Ohio artists Justin Will and Joe Lanzilotta鈥檚 graphic painting styles both employ bold colors and flattened shapes as their visual languages for coping with the contemporary human condition. Will鈥檚 work uses joy and humor as means of easing the burdens of existence, while Lanzilotta confronts it head-on, highlighting some of the absurd and strange truths about being a human alive in the world today.

This exhibit is free and open to the public and has been brought to you with support from the Ohio Arts Council.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF ART COLLECTION AND GALLERIES

The School of Art Collection and Galleries consists of six exhibition spaces located on the 天天吃瓜 campus and downtown 天天吃瓜, Ohio. The KSU Downtown Gallery Hours: Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., Saturday, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The School of Art at 天天吃瓜 was established in 1941 and maintains a tradition of excellence in visual arts education, creation, scholarship, and leadership. Its undergraduate and graduate programs in the visual arts offer a range of directions and opportunities in the fields of art education, art history, and studio art, which includes a comprehensive array of studio disciplines: ceramics, drawing, glass, jewelry/metals/enameling, painting, print media and photography, sculpture and expanded media, and textiles. The School of Art Collection and Galleries consist of six exhibition spaces located on the 天天吃瓜 campus and downtown 天天吃瓜 and a collection of over 4,000 artworks and objects. The School of Art is located at the Center of the Visual Arts at 325 Terrace Dr. in 天天吃瓜. The 27,900-square-foot facility 鈥 twice the length of a football field 鈥攈ad its grand opening in 2016 and houses all School of Art studios and classrooms under one roof.
