Dear ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Students, Staff and Faculty,
On Thursday, Oct. 15, University Dining Services will provide an additional outdoor heated tent on the Student Green near the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Student Center on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus. This new tent will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
Last week, University Dining Services began providing outdoor heated tents in strategic locations across campus to offer safe, convenient seating for ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus community members to enjoy their meals. While meals can be brought into these tents, there will be no food for sale in the tents.
The tents are part of ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s effort to decrease in-person contact. All ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus dining locations will continue to serve takeout meals only.
Additional tents are located near dining halls in the following locations:
- Adjacent to the Design Innovation (DI) Hub — open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and closed Saturday and Sunday.
- Adjacent to Fletcher Hall near Eastway Center — open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m.
With the addition of the Student Green tent, University Dining Services will remove the outdoor tent that was erected adjacent to Clark Hall near Eastway Center.
The dining tents will be open until Friday, Nov. 20. For information about dining hall services, hours and locations, visit www.kent.edu/dining/dining-updates. These tents are to be used only for dining and not for any other purpose.
As always, remember we must all do what’s right to stop the spread of the virus in our community. It is imperative that everyone follows the Flashes Safe Seven safety principles on and off campus, wear a face covering at all times, avoid large gatherings and parties and limit in-person contact with others. Visitors to ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus residence halls will continue to be limited to ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State students living on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus.
Flashes Unite — Do What’s Right to keep our community healthy and safe!
Sincerely,
