Lae'l Hughes-Watkins, University Libraries鈥� Special Collections and Archives, was part of a group that presented 鈥淧reserving the Spark: Challenges in Archiving Activist Movements鈥� at the Society of American Archivists鈥� annual conference in Portland, Oregon, on July 28, 2017.
Summary: In recent years, archivists have struggled to document the work of activists in their communities. Working together in small groups, session participants were able to grapple with questions and create solutions to more effectively document the historical record of social movements and communities.
