ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ’s School of Theatre and Dance Presents β€œSomething Rotten”

ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ’s School of Theatre and Dance kicks off the spring semester of its 2025-2026 season with "Something Rotten!," running Feb. 20 through March 1 in E. Turner Stump Theatre, located in the Center for Performing Arts on the ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ campus.

Set in the 1590s, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperate to write a hit play but are stuck in the shadow of that Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." When a local soothsayer foretells that the future of theatre involves singing, dancing and acting at the same time, Nick and Nigel set out to write the world’s very first musical. But amidst the scandalous excitement of opening night, the Bottom Brothers realize that reaching the top means being true to thine own self, and all that jazz. "Something Rotten!" is written by Karey Kirkpatrick and John O'Farrell with music and lyrics by Karey Kirkpatrick and Wayne Kirkpatrick.

"Something Rotten!" is being directed by Terri J. ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ, along with Assistant Director Matt Gittins, Music Director Jennifer Korecki, Choreographer Jennifer Black, Assistant Choreographer Gannon Hollar and Technical Director Wes Carney. Eva Clements is the production stage manager, supported by Costume Designer Sarah D’Anella, Lighting Designer Madeline K. Barber, Sound Designer Jeff Polunas, Properties Manager Tomie Cotterman and Scenic Designer Kordell Harr. Karl Erdmann serves as production manager and School of Theatre and Dance Director Tony Hardin is the executive producer.
