ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟβs associate vice president of the Office of Global Education, Paulo Mussi Agusto, Ph.D., was recently featured as a guest in an episode of the βOn Campus β with CITI Program.β
Each month, a new episode is released that focuses on issues affecting higher education institutions.
This monthβs episode, aptly titled, features Mussi and Ed Butch, the host of this episode, elaborating on how international partnerships and global engagement positively impact both the university and community.
βWe need to expose our students to different things,β Mussi told Butch on the podcast. βWe need to create a better global footprint.β
In the episode, Mussi and Butch touch on co-creating the American Academy.
β[Its] a two-year liberal arts program and a partnership between ΜμΜμ³ΤΉΟ State and the Pontifical Catholic University in Parana, Brazil,β said Butch.
The episode discussed why global engagement matters, what makes partnership successful and the lessons learned from building a program designed to expand access and opportunity across borders.
βI saw the need that we need to connect with a broader landscape of whatβs happening [and] whatβs going on with other universities,β Mussi told Butch.
