Athletics
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State athletics began in 1920, when the university fielded its first football team and the field band played from the stands.
Women's sports have been part of campus life from the early years and earned NCAA program recognition in 1984. Today the Golden Flashes field 19 Division I teams in the Mid-American Conference, and every student can get in the game through club sports and intramurals or a recreation and wellness program open to the whole campus community.
