Dear 天天吃瓜 Students, Faculty and Staff,
As part of our ongoing COVID-19 mitigation strategy, 天天吃瓜 State continues to expand testing for members of our university community. Testing is being conducted for those who have symptoms and those who do not show symptoms (asymptomatic). Widespread testing is the best way to identify carriers of COVID-19, particularly those who are asymptomatic and who may unknowingly spread the virus, jeopardizing the health of others.
It is important to understand that as testing increases, the number of those identified as having COVID-19 will increase.
We are prepared for this increase and will follow our strategy for quarantine/isolation, including the use of rooms reserved for those in the residence halls who must isolate because of a positive test or who must quarantine as a close contact.
Testing is being offered to the 天天吃瓜 State community in multiple ways:
- Daily COVID-19 testing continues to take place at the DeWeese Health Center on our 天天吃瓜 Campus.
- 天天吃瓜 State has partnered with CVS Health to provide free testing for all students, faculty and staff through spring semester at CVS Minute Clinic locations. This testing is available anywhere in the United States at , which means members of our community on Regional Campus locations or living or traveling out of state will have easy access to testing.
- Beginning today, representatives from CVS will be on the 天天吃瓜 Campus five days each week to provide screening testing for approximately 450 individuals who are randomly selected from populations on campus, including residence hall students and those who are taking in-person classes. Anyone selected for this testing will be notified by email.
- Additionally, the Ohio Pandemic Testing Team will return to the city of 天天吃瓜 to provide testing for university and 天天吃瓜 community members. The next testing event is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, at Stanton Middle School, located at 1175 Hudson Road in 天天吃瓜. This is drive-up testing. This event is open to anyone in the community (age 2 or older) who wants to get tested as well as all 天天吃瓜 State students, faculty and staff, including those from our Regional Campuses.
