HR Question of the Week: What is the date of this year鈥檚 Veterans Day recognition ceremony?

You are invited to attend and honor America鈥檚 veterans at this year鈥檚 Veterans Day program, 鈥淗onoring All Who Serve,鈥� on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza.

The outdoor program will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from 天天吃瓜鈥檚 Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from 天天吃瓜 State President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. All are invited to join together to pay tribute to America鈥檚 veterans. A special invitation is extended to 天天吃瓜 State faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members or who have family members in the military.

A reception in the 天天吃瓜 Student Center Kiva lobby will follow the brief program. In the event of inclement weather, the rain location will be the 天天吃瓜 Student Center Kiva.

Please take note of the following important information regarding your 2024 Flexible Spending Account (FSA).

2024-2025 December/January Holiday Schedule

天天吃瓜's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
