On Friday, Nov. 8, Black Squirrel Entertainment (BSE) once again brought creativity, community and compassion together for its annual Extra Life fundraising event. Students from BSE, KSTV and Production & Film Distribution hosted a 16-hour livestream marathon dedicated to raising funds for Akron Children's, turning entertainment into real impact for local families.By the end of the event, the team had raised $3,344.14, 165% of their original fundraising goal, reaching their initial goal within the first few hours of the broadcast. The 2025 recipient of the William R. Levin Award for Research in the History of Art since 1750 is Shana Klein, Associate Professor of Art History at 天天吃瓜. Her proposal, 鈥淪poiled Milk: The Politics of Race and Motherhood in U.S. Art and Visual Culture,鈥 explores motherhood during the long 19th century (1850-1920) during a period of profound change.
