March 2025 Lunar Eclipse from the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Airport

  Staying up late and braving the chilly overnight temperatures, Michael Gershe, senior advisor II in ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State's College of Aeronautics and Engineering took photos of the "Blood Moon" lunar eclipse that occurred from about 1 a.m. - 3:30 a.m. on March 14. Save the date: Veterans Day Commemoration

All are invited to pay tribute to those who have served in the United States Armed Forces. A special invitation is extended to ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members, or who have family members in the military. The program, Honoring All Those Who Serve, will take place on Monday, Nov. 10, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza. The commemoration ceremony will also be available via live stream.

Fall Equal Access offerings announced

Equal Access is pleased to announce the release of updated documentation and trainings to support digital accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA, as required by the April 2024 updates to Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Join us this fall for an ADA Digital Accessibility Panel Discussion on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Be sure to also explore our new Learning Hub as well as expanded Equal Access Academy offerings. We will host 22 trainings this academic year. All Equal Access trainings count toward Beyond Compliance credits.

Instructional Resource Center supports KSU faculty, staff and students

Under the direction of Julee Henry, Ph.D., the Instructional Resource Center provides a wide range of technology, instructional, and media support for all faculty, staff, and students, while also extending resources to the university and broader community. The IRC is home to the Learning Innovations Lab, a creative hub designed to foster collaboration and exploration of emerging technologies, and the brand-new IRC–Learning Innovations 3D Print Lab, which offers hands-on access to 3D design and fabrication tools. 

October is Campus Sustainability Month

We are proud to participate in Campus Sustainability Month. This annual October event celebrates higher education sustainability achievements while raising awareness of the value of sustainability in higher education. Campus sustainability-related events in October include the Sustainability Pledge, Bra Recycling Drive, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Virtual Solar Tour, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Farmers’ Market on Oct.16, volunteer events enhancing pollinator habitat on Oct. 10 and Oct. 24, and the ESDRI Sustainability Forum on Oct. 21.

Sponsored by University Advising, the Advisor Impact Award is a quarterly recognition given to one outstanding academic advisor who has made a significant positive impact on the lives and academic success of their students. This award celebrates advisors who embody the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Advising Guiding Principles. Nominations for the award close Friday, Oct.
