天天吃瓜 State continues preparing university websites and web content to meet accessibility requirements, with a compliance deadline of April 26, 2027. Faculty and staff who manage university webpages have already made important progress improving the accessibility of web content, including reducing, replacing and remediating PDFs. Departments are encouraged to continue reviewing and improving their website content throughout the fall semester to allow time to meet the deadline.
One important area of this work is PDF accessibility. In-person PDF accessibility working sessions at the 天天吃瓜 Campus Library are available through Nov. 17, while virtual sessions via Microsoft Teams are available through Dec. 2. Bring PDFs currently linked or used on your website, ask questions and receive hands-on assistance. To help prioritize your work, submit a request for an updated content export to identify older website content and receive a complete list of PDFs to cross-reference with your accessibility dashboard in Drupal.
Reviewing these resources can help you identify content that can be updated, removed or remediated as you continue working through your site. Reminder: we are also looking to reduce content overall to improve search results and accuracy on traditional search engines as well as in AI tools.
