Commencement Week Begins as Hundreds Earn Advanced Degrees

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï's spring 2026 commencement season is underway, with the university set to confer nearly 5,000 degrees across ceremonies May 7–9 and May 15.

The first ceremony took place Thursday evening, May 7, as master's, educational specialist and doctoral candidates from all colleges gathered at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus. The ceremony recognized ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State's advanced degree graduates across the university's full range of academic programs.

Ceremonies continue Friday and Saturday on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus:

  • Friday, May 8, 6:30 p.m. — Bachelor's degree candidates from the College of Arts and Sciences
  • Saturday, May 9, 10 a.m. — Associate and bachelor's degree candidates from the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, College of Aeronautics and Engineering, and College of Applied and Technical Studies
  • Saturday, May 9, 2 p.m. — Bachelor's degree candidates from the College of the Arts and the College of Education, Health and Human Services
  • Saturday, May 9, 6 p.m. — Bachelor's degree candidates from the College of Architecture and Environmental Design, College of Communication and Information, College of Nursing and College of Public Health

All ceremonies are held at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center. A final ceremony for graduating students from ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State's College of Podiatric Medicine will take place May 15 at Cartwright Hall on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus.

In total, 4,987 degrees will be conferred this spring, consisting of 643 associate degrees, 3,332 bachelor's degrees, 835 master's degrees, 162 doctoral degrees and 15 educational specialist degrees — adding nearly 5,000 new members to the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State alumni family across its eight-campus system.

During each ceremony, graduates hear from ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State President Todd Diacon and Executive Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley before receiving individual name recognition and participating in the conferral of degrees and tassel turning ceremony.

All remaining ceremonies will be livestreamed on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State commencement website.
