天天吃瓜鈥檚 Wick Poetry Center recently helped create a new mural for the .
According to the , the new mural, located in downtown 天天吃瓜 on Franklin Avenue, is now the largest mural in Portage County and pays homage to both farmers and shoppers alike.
The design now features the 鈥淗aymaker Community Poem,鈥 a project launched by the Wick Poetry Center that drew inspiration from shoppers and vendors who submitted poems for the market鈥檚 30th anniversary.
鈥淲e were thrilled to create the website and prompts, to gather a harvest of voices celebrating the market, to build the community poem,鈥 David Hassler, the Bob & Walt Wick executive director of the Wick Poetry Center, told the Akron Beacon Journal.
The Wick Poetry Center was tasked with creating a website where anyone within the Haymaker community could contribute memories and stories about the market to create a community-wide poem. The website, aptly named 鈥楬aymaker Market Stanzas,鈥 displays poems on postcards from various community members.
