Community Action Fellows

CAF

Community Action Fellows are undergraduate or graduate student leaders committed to strengthening our community and developing leadership skills.

Community Action Fellows have the opportunity to:

  • Design and implement original community change projects connected to the program's Areas of Impact (Food Security, Education & Literacy, Voting & Political Engagement, and Environmental Sustainability)
  • Partner with multiple local non-profit organizations and government agencies
  • Co-lead a council of on-campus and off-campus partners in your assigned Area of Impact
  • Attend two meetings per month with other Fellows focused on leadership development, community engagement, and professional networking
  • Receive support through quarterly 1-1 meetings with CSI staff
  • Support service and volunteer programming (e.g., Days of Service)

This time commitment is an average of four hours/week. Fellows receive a $375 stipend every quarter of the academic year (October, December, March, and May) with the completion of all responsibilities.

We are currently not receiving any Community Action Fellow applications. Please check back in February 2026 when 2026-2027 Community Action Fellow applications become available.
