ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s Office of Admissions is seeing its hard work, creativity and strategic planning pay off by way of increased engagement and an elevated level of interest in the university. 

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Lara Boman of Ashland, Ohio, to a two-year term as a Graduate Student Trustee of the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Board of Trustees.

Once again, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has been named one of the Best Employers for Women in a nationwide ranking by Forbes and marketing research firm Statista. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State has been named to the list for the sixth consecutive year, having been included each year since Forbes began publishing the Best Employers for Women list in 2018.

For Madelyn Orcutt, an interior designer who works for Richardson Design in Cleveland, the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s personal touch, beautiful campus and proximity to her Canton, Ohio, home influenced her decision to attend the university.

This is the second year in a row that the Flying Flashes have won the Air Race Classic and the Certified Flight Instructor of the year awards. Last year’s flight instructor competition was also won by one of our female students.

As an entrepreneurship major at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State, Schumann learned operations, production and finance in the classroom and gained on-the-job experience working with an entrepreneur in Cleveland.  In 2020, Schumann of Chagrin Falls gained the opportunity to put his ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State education to work when he and his wife Marisa Sergi-Schumann acquired L’uva Bella Winery and Brands, a company that the Sergi family started more than 15 years ago.  

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï will celebrate the Flying Flashes, Peyton Turner and Laura Wilson, who defended the team’s title by winning the 2023 Air Race Classic.

The Props and Pistons Festival has been held since 2013 and is planned and funded by Inspire Aviation, a non-profit organization whose goal is promoting aviation and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) education. To learn more about the event or to volunteer go to ;

A host of ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï faculty and students took center stage at a global peace conference on July 12 in Kigali, Rwanda, sharing their knowledge and research with delegates from more than a dozen countries and as well as the U.S.

Peace Education in an Era of Crisis, a global peace conference dedicated to promoting peace through education, opened Tuesday, July 11, in Kigali, Rwanda, with delegates from throughout the United States and 14 countries participating.
