ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï celebrated the launch of a dynamic new space, the Design Innovation (DI) Hub, which will bring innovations from many disciplines together in a 68,000-square-foot building near the center of the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus.

On Saturday, May 4, legendary journalist Bob Woodward comes to ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï as part of the Presidential Speaker Series. He will speak at 7 p.m. in the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center).

Michael N. Lehman, Ph.D., a leader in the field of neuroendocrinology and circadian rhythms, is the newly appointed director of ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s Brain Health Research Institute.

University Hospitals and ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï are joining forces to address the ongoing nursing shortage in Northeast Ohio through a new nursing education initiative that will increase the number of baccalaureate-degreed nurses who enter the workforce each year.

A prominent political strategist, lawyer and advocate for positive change in the political process served as the keynote speaker at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. Angela Rye, principal and CEO of IMPACT Strategies, joined the university in celebrating the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 23 in the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Student Center Ballroom. 

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s Online MBA program is ranked among the top 100 programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report’s on its 2019 Best Online MBA Programs list. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s Online MBA program ranks 90th in the country and 66th among public institutions. This is the first year ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State was eligible to be ranked since its program launched in fall 2017. 

The Canadian Golf Hall of Fame and Museum has announced that Herb Page, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s director of golf and men’s golf head coach, has been selected for 2019 induction into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame. With his induction, Coach Page becomes the 25th person inducted into the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame’s builder category and first-ever coach.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Police Services is celebrating the five-year anniversary – or the 35 dog-year anniversary – of its first K-9 unit, which features 7-year-old German Shepherd Coco and herhandler, Officer Anne Spahr. Coco was the first police dog at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State. She is now one of two police dogs at the university.

The ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï alumni family grew by nearly 3,000 new graduates as the university held its Fall Commencement ceremonies. For the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus, Commencement ceremonies took place Friday, Dec. 14, and Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Memorial Athletic and Convocation Center (MAC Center).
