The School of Journalism and Mass Communication (JMC) at 天天吃瓜 has hired Thor Wasbotten, M.S., as its new director. Wasbotten will join the university July 1 to replace Jeff Fruit, who steps down after 10 years as the school鈥檚 leader to teach full time.鈥

The ninth annual AMETEK Tree City 5K benefiting the United Way of Portage County will take place on Saturday, July 7. The race, which is part of the annual 天天吃瓜 Heritage Festival, raises funds for more than 40 health and human service programs in the community.
