The Wick Poetry Center is thrilled to announce its collaboration with the Library of Congress, which will feature the Traveling Stanzas exhibit at the 18th Library of Congress National Book Festival on Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Washington Convention Center.
The ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Faculty/Staff Bowling League is now accepting new teams, members and substitute bowlers. Bowlers compete weekly on Monday evenings at 6:20 p.m. at Spins Bowl ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï (formerly Bill White’s Twinstar Lanes) on State Route 59 in ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï.
The bowling league is open to all full-time, part-time and retired employees, as well as their families and friends.
The fourth annual Run the World 5K will take place at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï on Saturday, Sept. 8. The race raises money for the Run the World Fund, which provides scholarships for university study abroad programs.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï's holiday closure for 2024 will begin Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, at 10:30 p.m. All offices will re-open on Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025. Employees not eligible for the paid leave include student employees, classified temporary staff, temporary agency staff, short-term unclassified appointments, unclassified intermittent appointments and employees in a lay-off status. More information on the holiday schedule, including how employees should report time during that period, will be available later this month.
