ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State to Honor Veterans on Nov. 9

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï will hold its annual Veterans Day observance on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. on the Student Green at Risman Plaza.

The outdoor program, Honoring All Who Serve, will include a flag-raising ceremony conducted by a joint color guard from the university’s Army and Air Force ROTC programs, remarks from ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State President Beverly Warren and guest speakers. Retired Petty Officer 1st Class Mark Gainer, who currently serves as president of the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Veterans Club, will be the guest speaker.

All are invited to come and pay tribute to America’s veterans. A special invitation is extended to ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State faculty, staff, students and community members who are veterans, active service members or who have family members in the military.

A reception in the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Student Center Kiva lobby will follow the brief program. In the event of inclement weather, the rain location will be the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Student Center Kiva.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Student Vaccination Event Registration Information

Dear ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Students, Beginning this Thursday, April 8, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State will be holding several vaccination clinics for students as part of a program announced by Gov. Mike DeWine. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State will be receiving a large quantity of the Johnson & Johnson one-shot COVID-19 vaccines, which will be given for free to students.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Awarded $3.5 Million Choose Ohio First Grants

The state of Ohio and the Ohio Department of Higher Education announced that ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has been awarded Choose Ohio First grants totaling $3.5 million to support students in the critical fields of science (including health professions), technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM).

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Names Manfred van Dulmen as University’s Associate Provost for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Division of Graduate Studies

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Senior Vice President and Provost Melody Tankersley, Ph.D., announced the selection of Manfred van Dulmen, Ph.D., to serve as the university’s associate provost for academic affairs and dean of the Division of Graduate Studies, effective April 16.
