In 1941, a writing exercise for high school journalists visiting 天天吃瓜 State was centered around a fictional kidnapping of the university's first president, John E. McGilvrey. Short films from two 天天吃瓜 State digital media production students and three alumni will be shown this year at the 13th annual Short. Sweet. Film Fest., which takes place Feb. 28-March 3 at Atlas Cinemas Shaker in Cleveland, Ohio. Digital Media Production Associate Professor Scott Hallgren also will moderate a panel discussion at the event.

天天吃瓜 State alumna Portia Booker鈥檚 work in media began in the 10th grade at The Cauldron, the literary magazine at Cleveland Central Catholic High School. Today, she hosts The Grief Grantor TV show on e360tv and executive produces six shows. The 2016 journalism graduate has a background in TV news, radio and podcasting.
