ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï continues to demonstrate its strength as an academic institution with its inclusion on several lists in the new 2022-2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings. U.S. News has again named ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State among the Top Public Schools in the nation in the newly released rankings.
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Psychology Professor to Receive 2022 ATHENA Akron Leadership Award
ATHENA Akron, a women’s leadership organization in Summit County, Ohio, has named Angela Neal-Barnett, Ph.D., professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences within the College of Arts and Sciences at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï, its winner of the 2022 ATHENA Akron Leadership Award. She will receive the award on Nov. 17 at the Hilton Akron/Fairlawn.
Forbes Ranks ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State No. 3 in Ohio on America’s Best-in-State Employers List
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has again been recognized as one of America’s Best-in-State Employers for 2022 by Forbes and market research company Statista. In Ohio, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State ranks No. 3 among the top 100 employers in Ohio, landing above such notable employers as Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Procter & Gamble in Cincinnati, University Hospitals and Cleveland Clinic, both located in Cleveland.

For a third consecutive year, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has been selected as one the nation’s top universities for LGBTQ+ students for creating a safe, welcoming environment for students, faculty and staff, according to Campus Pride, a leading resource for LGBTQ+ leadership development, diversity inclusion and advocacy within higher education.
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement Wins 19 Marketing and Communications Awards
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s Division of Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement launched the university’s most ambitious fundraising campaign, called Forever Brighter, last October, creating communications and fundraising materials that share the remarkable impact of alumni engagement and donor philanthropy on the university. The division has earned 19 marketing and communications awards from multiple competitions.

U.S. News & World Report ranks six ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï programs in the top 100 among public institutions in its 2023 edition of Best Graduate Schools. Among the top 100 public institution programs, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State is recognized in the Best Nursing Schools: Master’s Programs, Best Education Schools, Best Mathematics Programs, Best Psychology Schools, Best Public Health Programs and Best Physics Schools rankings. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State is also recognized in an additional five new national rankings.
