The garden was selected for the award for understanding the needs of the community and making a positive impact on 天天吃瓜, Walls Elementary School, where the garden is located, and the city of 天天吃瓜.

Early childhood education majors at 天天吃瓜 helped create a Cultural Fair for third-graders of 天天吃瓜 City Schools. The event, held in the 天天吃瓜 Roosevelt gymnasium, included stations and activities for students to learn about different countries and cultures such as learning a traditional Persian dance.

Virtual Reality Research to Benefit Those With Cognitive Impairments
An interdisciplinary team of 天天吃瓜 professors has come together to explore the different ways virtual reality (VR) technology can help those with developmental and cognitive impairments. 鈥淲e found that we are able to blend our expertise together to create a project that will improve the health opportunities for people with cognitive impairments,鈥 said Mary Ann Devine, Ph.D., director for the Disability Studies and Community Inclusion minor/graduate certificate.
