Filling Critical Need for More Pilots

Brian Neff, assistant dean of flight and operations at ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s College of Aeronautics and Engineering, was recently featured on Spectrum News 1 Ohio with a ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State aeronautics student, to shed light on the national pilot shortage and explain what ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State is doing to help fix this shortage.

Making the Grade: Julianne Agnone, '21, Awarded Rookie Teacher of the Year by Lake Local Schools

Julianne Agnone, ’21, is doing what she loves — teaching. But these days, it’s not only her students making the grade. Agnone, who teaches math to sixth graders at Lake Elementary, was recently named Lake Local’s Rookie Teacher of the Year and joins newcomer teachers from Stark County’s 17 public school districts as part of the Stark County Educational Service Center’s Education All-Star Team.

Student Media Prepared Alumna for Teamwork, Wide-Ranging Career

Collaboration and teamwork have been the common threads that have led ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Media and Journalism alumna Raytevia Evans, M.A. ‘12, through teaching English abroad, graduate school, work as an education reporter and now, as a public information officer. She says that every time she’s produced work she’s proud of, it has been the result of a group project.
