Ashley White-Stumpf's Sacrifice Featured in National Museum of the U.S. Army
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State alumna 1st Lt. Ashley White-Stump is featured along with other American heroes in the new National Museum of the United States Army, which just recently opened in Virginia.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s Virtual Fall Commencement
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State will recognize the accomplishments of its Fall Class of 2020 graduates with a virtual commencement recognition ceremony. Students, faculty, staff, parents and friends are invited to tune into the virtual ceremony on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m.

Upholding Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy for Change: Call for MLK Programming
In preparation for honoring the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State’s Martin Luther King Jr. Planning Committee is requesting that university divisions, departments and student organizations submit programming, activities and events (scheduled Jan. 25-Jan. 31, 2021) to the MLK Events Calendar by Friday, Dec. 4, 2020.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Recognized Again for Sustainability Efforts
Through multiple organizations and collaborations on and off campus, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï ended 2019 as a more sustainable campus. Those who contributed to sustainable efforts worked hard to reduce the university’s carbon footprint leading to the university being honored as a finalist for the 2020 Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) Campus Sustainability Achievement Award along with the 2019 Keep Ohio Beautiful award for Colleges and Universities.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï and City of ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Co-sponsor COVID-19 Testing
As part of ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s ongoing strategy to help stop the spread of COVID-19, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State has partnered with the city of ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï to bring the Ohio Department of Health’s Pandemic Testing Team to campus from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15 for an open testing event

In an effort to ensure student access and success, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï is waiving application fees for those who apply to the university in the month of November.

Campus Pride has released its 2020 Best of the Best LGBTQ-Friendly Colleges and Universities list, and for the first time in school history, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has landed on the distinctive list as one of 40 institutions recognized over six U.S. regions.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Named Finalist for Degree Completion Award
The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities has selected ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï as one of four finalists for the association’s 2020 Degree Completion Award. The annual award works to identify, recognize and reward institutions that employ innovative approaches to improve degree completion while ensuring educational quality.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Names New Senior Vice President and Provost Following National Search
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï President Todd Diacon today announced the appointment of Melody Tankersley, Ph.D., to the position of senior vice president and provost, effective Nov. 1, 2020.
