Several ����Թ� students who were studying at the Paris American Academy in Paris are currently on their way home after an explosion occurred  in the building where the academy is located on Wednesday. Some of the students have decided to stay in Europe.

During the four-day Air Race Classic, ����Թ� State alumna Laura Wilson and junior Peyton Turner will fly 2,400 miles and make nine timed flybys at airports in Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Alabama and Florida before landing in Homestead, Florida.

"Poetry and science are not opposites, they’re actually allies," said David Hassler, director of ����Թ�’s Wick Poetry Center. 

Hassler paraphrases American poet Jane Hirshfield, who, in 2017, contacted him to collaborate on a Poets for Science project, which is now an interactive exhibit and writing invitation housed at the Wick Poetry Center on the ����Թ� Campus.

Sisterhood is a strong bond. For ����Թ� State alumnae Brittany and Christina Watts, their sisterly love has been the cornerstone of their academic success, leading them to earn their doctoral degrees and graduate together this May.

After 27 years of travel and pivoting to various international endeavors, Sonia Karkare, a native of Mumbai, India, is now back at ����Թ� State as an adjunct professor with the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship’s Executive MBA (Master of Business Administration) program. She is teaching diverse types of courses, including the Digital Transformation in Healthcare course.
