Lactation Rooms

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State faculty, staff and students who are nursing mothers have the option of using a lactation room on each of the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State campuses. The resource for new mothers is part of the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (the federal health care reform law).

These rooms provide a secure space for nursing mothers, they are shielded from view, free from intrusion by co-workers and the public, and are not a restroom.

There are several designated lactation rooms on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus and the Regional Campuses as listed in the table below.

Use of the lactation rooms is optional for nursing moms. Employees who wish to use one of the rooms should call the phone number listed for that location prior to your first visit, to make arrangements and determine a schedule.
