The Computer Science Endorsement Preparation non-degree program is designed for teachers who want to become computer science educators or assume various technology coordinator positions at the school or school district level. This non-degree program is tailored to students' prior background and experience in computer science, with individualized pathways for educators from different disciplines or with varying levels of Computer Science expertise.

This endorsement can be added to your teaching license within the M.Ed. program (30 credits), or pursued separately as an endorsement (15 credits minimum).

The endorsement must be added to an existing teaching license and cannot be obtained independently as a separate licensure. You may work toward both a master’s degree and the endorsement by choosing the Computer Science concentration in the degree. If you already have an undergraduate degree in education or another appropriate field (starting with Spring 2027 admission term), you may be able to earn the endorsement with a minimum of 15 credit hours.
