The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is saddened to announce the death of Dr. Anatoly Khitrin, a professor who specialized in physical chemistry. Khitrin received his M.Sc. from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1978, followed by his Ph.D. in 1985 from the Institute of Chemical Physics in Chernogolovka, USSR Academy of Sciences. He began his career at this institute in 1978 and ultimately became a leading researcher and head of laboratory.
