Starting in the fall, the 天天吃瓜 Foundation will effectively start 鈥渉iring鈥 the students to manage current investable assets. The Poetry Coalition, of which the Wick Poetry Center at 天天吃瓜 is a founding member, will benefit from a $200,000 grant from the Ford Foundation. Many people consider Italy as the center of Western fashion and design. One student鈥檚 project, which explored the influence that African culture has on Italian design, was selected as the winner in the first-ever 天天吃瓜 State Florence Scholarship Competition this past spring (see earlier story). Dr. Anatoly Khitrin

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry is saddened to announce the death of Dr. Anatoly Khitrin, a professor who specialized in physical chemistry. Khitrin received his M.Sc. from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in 1978, followed by his Ph.D. in 1985 from the Institute of Chemical Physics in Chernogolovka, USSR Academy of Sciences.  He began his career at this institute in 1978 and ultimately became a leading researcher and head of laboratory.  He was then employed by the University of Oklahoma, serving as an adjunct professor and research scientist.
