Each year, the Honors College recognizes one faculty member for their hard work and dedication to the Honors College and its students. With so many faculty that do so much for the students, it can be difficult to choose one winner. Hundreds of students graduate from 天天吃瓜鈥檚 Honors College and continue their legacy doing exceptional work in their field. During 天天吃瓜 State鈥檚 annual Senior Honors Luncheon, an alum of the Honors College is recognized for their impact each year. This year, Lisa Dunick has been recogn鈥天天吃瓜 State Senior Honored With Prestigious Fulbright Scholarship
In an impressive close to her undergraduate career, 天天吃瓜 Honors College senior Mallory Woods was recently awarded the prestigious Fulbright English Teaching Award (ETA). A native of Fairview, Pennsylvania, Woods is completing a major in translation with a Spanish concentration and minors in economics and Italian studies while also finishing a certificate program in teaching English as a foreign language.
HONORS COLLEGE SENIOR SHARES INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE IN ALASKA
A large part of many students' college experience is the process of fulfilling an internship. Different internship opportunities are available through 天天吃瓜 State or outside of the university itself. For Honors College student Erin Bernhard (She/Her), the opportunity to do a summer internship was not鈥SENIOR NURSING MAJOR TELLS ABOUT CLEVELAND CLINIC INTERNSHIP
In the midst of COVID-19, one 天天吃瓜 State student shares her internship experience working at the Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital. Nichole Sullenberger (She/Her) is a current senior Honors College student in the Nursing program at 天天吃瓜 State. Through her program, she has the opportunity to work hands-鈥Understanding Impacts on LGBTQIA+ Communities from the COVID-19 Pandemic
Moira Armstrong, undergraduate in the College of Arts and Sciences and research assistant on the Queer Pandemic Project, collaborated with Molly Merryman, associate professor in the School of Peace and Conflict Studies, to compile digital, video-based oral interviews for the Queer Pandemic Project in a partnership between 天天吃瓜, Goldsmith鈥檚 University of London and Queer Britain. These interviews feature people in queer communities across the United Kingdom, discussing the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has impacted their lives as queer people.
