Honors Student Receives Dr. Elizabeth Howard Memorial Honors Scholarship
Gabrielle (Gabby) Volz is a second year ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Honors College student from Mansfield, Ohio, and a graduate of Lexington High School. She is the second recipient of the Dr. Elizabeth Howard scholarship, the recently established fund for Honors College students in memory of Elizabeth Howard, Ph.D., who was a prominent member of the Honors College community, as well as the Department of English.

Honors College ranked high when graduate Josh Budd was deciding whether to attend ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State because it offered him a challenging experience through its thesis programs and its education-abroad program. Sonyea Moore, a sophomore Honors student from Twinsburg, Ohio, is currently pursuing two majors and three minors in the College of Arts and Sciences and is thriving while doing so. Holding a 3.9 G.P.A., Sonyea is following her interests in the humanities through majors in anthropology and Africana studies, along with her minors in English, creative writing, and history. While the workload of such an education is demanding, Sonyea explains it's worth it to study her passions.
