Although ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State alumna and current graduate student Lydia Lisowsky has never visited Ukraine, she feels a deep sense of obligation and responsibility to help those who have been injured in the war. The ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State community helped Lisowsky pack and donate medical supplies on the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus and in the larger ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï community to send to Ukraine.
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Celebrates Its Newest Graduates With Spring Commencement Ceremonies
The ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï alumni family will grow by more than 5,000 new graduates as the university holds its spring commencement ceremonies. The accomplishments of the Spring Class of 2022 will be recognized with in-person, outdoor commencement ceremonies on May 12-14 and May 20 and a virtual commencement ceremony for all colleges and degrees on May 15.
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Remembers the Events of May 4, 1970
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï has scheduled a variety of programs, events and exhibits for this year’s remembrance of May 4, 1970, to honor the four students who were killed, the nine students who were wounded and the countless others whose lives were forever changed when the Ohio National Guard fired on ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State students during an anti-war protest.

U.S. News & World Report ranks six ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï programs in the top 100 among public institutions in its 2023 edition of Best Graduate Schools. Among the top 100 public institution programs, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State is recognized in the Best Nursing Schools: Master’s Programs, Best Education Schools, Best Mathematics Programs, Best Psychology Schools, Best Public Health Programs and Best Physics Schools rankings. ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State is also recognized in an additional five new national rankings.

Presidential historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Jon Meacham, whose knowledge of politics, history, religion and current affairs makes him one of America’s most prominent public intellectuals, will appear the evening of May 4 for ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï’s Presidential Speaker Series. Meacham will bring his unique perspective and provide historical context to the issues and events impacting our daily lives when he speaks about civil discourse at the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Student Center Ballroom.

ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Breaks Ground for Future Home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï officially broke ground on Crawford Hall, the future home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, on March 8 in a ceremony attended by more than 400 people, including university officials, donors, alumni, students, elected officials and special guests.
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Receives Military Friendly School Honor for 13th Year in a Row
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï continues to exemplify leadership in its mission to support students as the ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï Campus is designated as a Military Friendly® School for the 13th consecutive year in a row, earning a Gold award. In addition, ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï at Trumbull earned a Silver award.
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State Wins Award for Excellence in Integrating International Education Throughout University
ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï is the sole university in the U.S. to receive the prestigious 2022 Senator Paul Simon Award for Comprehensive Internationalization from NAFSA: Association of International Educators. The honor recognizes ÌìÌì³Ô¹Ï State for overall excellence in integrating international education throughout all facets of the university and its campuses.
