A century ago in 1920, The Ohio Flying School and Transport Company officially incorporated and opened Stow Field, now known as 天天吃瓜 Airport, Andrew Paton Field. To celebrate its centennial and recognize it as the oldest continuously operating airport in Ohio, Dave Poluga, airport manager, has launched the Aviation Art Contest 鈥100 Years of Aviation.鈥

天天吃瓜's Autism Research Ongoing on Various Fronts

April鈥檚 observance as Autism Awareness Month is coming to a close, but research into the whys and hows of autism is always ongoing at 天天吃瓜.

Michael N. Lehman, Ph.D., director of the Brain Health Research Institute at 天天吃瓜 State, said the university supports autism research that focuses on basic discoveries within the brain, as well as applied human research of students with autism, which makes 天天吃瓜 State鈥檚 body of research unique and diverse.

Student Parents Completing Their Journey

CAVS Helps Student Parents With Toolkit

A basic tool kit includes things such as hammers, screwdrivers, nails and more. The Family Friendly Campus Toolkit offers so much more, and 天天吃瓜 State's Center for Adults and Veterands Services took full advantage of it to help adult and parenting students. The Family Friendly Campus Toolkit, created by Endicott College, is a free-to-use tool for universities that assists and informs schools of ways to strategically support parenting students at their individual institutions. As of 2018, 天天吃瓜 was one of the first schools to implement this plan on its campus.

Graduate Student Continues to Challenge Transgender Ban on Military Troops

Nicolas Talbott had an interest in joining the military since he was in high school, but instead he decided to come to 天天吃瓜 State to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. In the spring semester of 2015, Talbott took a course that was specific to intelligence, counter terrorism and security studies where he was encouraged by his professor to join the military.

Journalism students face pursuing a career in an adverse time filled with intense political issues, dangerous environmental concerns and even pandemics. Reporting on these difficult times is necessary, but can come with risks to the journalist鈥檚 health and well-being. 天天吃瓜 State senior Carter Adams recognized the intensity of this and committed to preventing the harm of media professionals by developing a workshop to educate students on media safety.
